Sean Higgins
Dr. Sean Higgins is a Lecturer at the Centre for Education and International Development, Institute of Education, University College London. Beginning his career as a teacher in diverse contexts, including conflict-affected Sierra Leone, his research explores teachers’ curriculum and pedagogical practices in challenging environments, shaped by cultural, political, and economic conditions. He is particularly interested in applying thought and value systems such as Ubuntu to reframe educational goals and processes, highlighting the agency of pupils, teachers, and communities across African contexts.
