WGECD sets up ECD network in Senegal

From April 9 to 11, 2014, the ADEA Working Group on Early Childhood Development in Africa (WGECD), in partnership with UNICEF, held a workshop in Dakar for the setting up of a network for early childhood development in Senegal. This workshop follows a meeting held in Dakar, December 26-29, 2013 that initiated the National Network for Early Childhood Development (Réseau national pour le développement de la petite enfance – RENADPE).

The overall objective of the workshop was to produce the founding documents of a network that will act in favor of young children in Senegal. These documents, which have now been finalized and validated by the technical monitoring committee, will be presented to participants at the Annual Meeting of the future network for ECD in Senegal.
