Priscilla Bretuo
Priscilla Bretuo is currently a doctoral student in the Faculty of Education at the University of Cambridge. Her research is focused on advancing quality education for marginalised children through non-formal alternatives to formal education.
Prior to her doctoral studies, she worked with the African Leadership University in Mauritius as an Associate Lecturer in Social Sciences where, using a student-centred and active learning approach, she taught a combination of courses in Sociology, Criminology and Political Science as well as supervised undergraduate dissertations. She later worked there as a consulting learning experience and module designer.
She holds an MSc in Development Studies from the London School of Economics and a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice from Glasgow Caledonian University. A scholar of the LSE Programme for African Leadership (PfAL), she is passionate about education reform and policy, social innovation and development in Africa.
