The education systems of most countries will suffer, in one way or another, from the immediate and future consequences of the serious effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Indeed, this already assumes that countries are looking for new approaches to mitigate these effects on the education and training of young people.

A technical seminar on national book and reading policies (NBRP) in Africa involving six countries just ended in Kigali (Rwanda), where it saw the adoption of the African Union (AU) Continental Book and Reading Framework and where a customized tool kit that will provide a road map on policy formulation was agreed upon.
