Hendrina is the Division Manager, Education, Human Capital and Employment at the African Development Bank Group (AfDB).

Prior to joining the Bank, Hendrina was the Executive Director for the Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE). She was responsible for coordinating regional programmes across the 33 sub-Saharan African countries where FAWE has a presence. Hendrina is an educationalist and she has expertise in design and development of gender responsive programmes, training of trainers on FAWE’s gender responsive models, project coordination, monitoring and evaluations, policy analysis and advocacy. Hendrina has over 30 years of work experience in the development sector. She has a strong commitment to social justice, development work, advocacy, networking to promote equity and quality education for girls and women.
