Apprendre pour demain: Post-Mortem on the CONFEMEN Forum on Improving Primary Education in Africa
The CONFEMEN forum on “Improving Primary Education in Africa”, held from 28th to 30th January in Dakar, Senegal, is part of a series of interconnected engagements aimed at addressing learning poverty and enhancing foundational learning in Africa. Building on the momentum of FLEX 2024, the forum provided an opportunity to share lessons learned, highlight initiatives that are yielding results (particularly in Francophone Africa), and define concrete goals and steps to eliminate learning poverty in Africa over the next 10 years, as agreed in Kigali.
In this 18th edition of the ALT podcast, Chinedu Anarado and Hilaire Hounkpodote analyze the outcomes of the conference and the next steps for CONFEMEN member countries, as well as the role of PASEC assessments in supporting these countries to resolve learning poverty within a decade.
