Senior Finance Officer, Education and Skills Data Project

Nickson is the Senior Finance Officer. He provides direction and ensures the project's financial, accounting, and material management.

Nickson joined ADEA in June 2024, bringing a wealth of expertise in managing the financial resources of multi-country grants. He has over eight years of experience in administration, finance roles, grants management, and project management. He oversaw over USD 100 million in African multi-country grants while serving as a Finance Officer, Grants Accountant, and Senior Finance and Administration Officer capacities at the African Population and Health Research Center, APHRC, and the African Academy of Sciences, AAS.

He is a trained and qualified Finance professional with a degree in Economics & Finance from Kenyatta University, Kenya, and a Project Management Diploma from Dayton University, USA. Nickson is pursuing an MSc in Health Economics at the University of Nairobi, Kenya. He is also a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya.
