This handbook was originally intended for publishers and editors involved in developing popular reading material. It has been expanded into a training manual for use by a wide range of professional people involved in materials development like authors, curriculum developers, teachers, reading specialists, adult literacy trainers, illustrators and journalists as well as the intended target audience.
